Company Picnic Planning for 2010!
Company Picnics Corporate Event Planning
For corporate event planning, hosting a company picnic in 2010 might seem to be an impossible task. However, consider changing the approach as corporate event catering companies have flexible schedules and are ready to provide services for weekday events. Think local, like really local. Instead of traveling to a park or event site, hold the company picnic on location. Hold the picnic on a weekday afternoon just for the employees. This reduces the quantity of food, prizes and games that you will need to entertain your guests.
Commercial Picnic Tables
Purchase commercial picnic tables and place them in grassy areas around the work site. You may even want to use recycled plastic picnic tables because of environmental considerations. After the picnic the tables can remain in place for use during breaks and lunch times. The outdoor picnic tables could be used again and again.
Company Picnic Games
Select games that your employees would enjoy that are age appropriate. Tug of War, Bingo, Putting contest or Mini Golf Course. Use part of the warehouse or office area for a mini golf course. This makes things interesting! Don’t forget the dunk tank especially for those hot days!
Company Picnic Door Prizes
Keep the picnic theme going witht he door prizes. Picnic baskets loaded with goodies; a picnic table with an umbrella; picnic basket; Weber table top BBQ; lawn chairs; coolers and a camping set. Expand the theme to include gift certificates to the local outdoor store, a fishing trip or an overnight stay to a mountain lodge.
Company Picnic Menu
Keep the menu simple. Just because it is a picnic doesn’t mean it has to be hamburgers and hot dogs. Ask your catering company for some creative picnic ideas that don’t include hamburgers and hot dogs. Fire grilled pizza, teriyaki chicken skewers, sausage fest, baked potato with chili and toppings, salad bar and submarine sandwiches. Anything that says lunch. The picnic is the outdoor setting. Make sure the food is good and there is enough.
